Our story

Rewind to late 1983...

A fun-loving, cheeky chappy toddler was sitting in his mother's kitchen banging on upturned kitchen pans, dressed up as his beloved grandfather. Mauritian by birth, Pepe as he was affectionately know to the family, was a formidable home cook and no excuse was needed for him to conjure up some culinary delicacy or another for a family get together.

Fast-forward to early 2015...

Rach and Chris are in their tiny flat kitchen in Camberley, Surrey. Having spent the majority of their Sunday preparing meals for the start of a well known body coach's 90 day plan to shed a few pounds for their upcoming wedding, Rach was in the depths of despair given the volume of food prep that was needed to get through the first week, and pondered what she wouldn't give to have someone else make these bespoke recipes for her.

A hop, skip and a jump to 2017...

Taking 20 years experience in the hospitality industry, and 15 years in the events industry (along with her far superior admin and organisation skills!) the front runner to The Transformation Chef was born; delivering prepared meals predominantly to addresses throughout Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire.

Present day - 2018...

From their purpose-built facility in southern England, The Transformation Chef and a team of talented chefs create handmade ready meals each and every week for individual customers, gyms and companies across the UK.

This is lots more to this story, which we'll elaborate as you join us on our journey, however we are regularly asked why we do what we do....

A huge array of so called 'healthy meals' are available in supermarkets but most are full of salt, sugar, additives etc thus there has been a rise in the number of meal prep companies offering something a bit different. That said, most (but not all) offer very basic, tasteless meals such as minimally seasoned chicken, brown rice and broccoli in a box.

With this in mind, The Transformation Chef have developed a range of restaurant quality meals, designed in conjunction with nutritionist Jenna Hope to ensure a balanced approach to nutrition without a lack of flavour!

A balanced lifestyle that is sustainable requires balanced nutrition with no restrictions - the 80:20 principle if you like - and The Transformation Chef is here to help you with the 80%
